About the Mega Sena Lottery
The Mega Sena game itself involves selecting 6 numbers from the range 01 to 60. There are two main draws each week – one on Wednesday and one on Saturday – and the winning numbers, the Mega Sena results, are drawn a little differently from most other lotteries. Instead of a single machine picking numbers from 01 to 60, two digits are drawn separately for each winning number. The first digit can be anything from 0 to 5 and the second digit anything from 0 to 9. If 00 is drawn then it is automatically counted as the number 60. This approach to drawing the winning numbers in the lotto results in six unique two digit numbers being generated.
If any player matches all six lottery numbers then they win the jackpot. The odds of doing this with a basic lottery entry are 1 in 50,063,860. As with most other major lottery games, if more than one player wins the jackpot then it is shared between them equally. Mega Sena players can also win cash prizes by matching 4 or 5 of the main numbers.
