Apostas desportivas online para iniciantes: O que são Odds?
Cada vez existem mais pessoas a apostar online, no entanto é bastante normal que no início não saibam ao certo como tudo se processa e quais os termos mais utilizados nesta nova moda.
Dando continuidade a esta rubrica de Apostas desportivas para iniciantes, vamos explicar o que são Odds (um termo vulgarmente utilizado neste âmbito) e como é que as mesmas funcionam.
O que são as Odds?
As Odds são cotações dadas a determinado jogo, ou seja, de forma simples elas designam as probabilidades de um determinado evento ocorrer. Existem números que representam essa probabilidade, e que ao mesmo tempo indicam qual o valor que poderá ganhar ao realizar determinada aposta.
Por exemplo, numa casa de apostas tradicional, as Odds são calculadas por especialistas e são previstas tendo por base diversos dados estatísticos como: informações sobre a equipa, dados sobre os jogos ou eventos.
No entanto, se estivermos a falar de bolsas de apostas as mesmas funcionam de forma diferente. Neste caso, o valor das probabilidades é definido tendo em conta o volume de apostas realizadas entre os diversos jogadores, sendo assim, é a própria comunidade de apostadores que direta ou indiretamente define o valor das Odds. (Neste momento Fevereiro de 2017 a legislação ainda não contempla a possibilidade de operar em Bolsas de Apostas).
Por norma, na bolsa de apostas, o valor da Odd é inversamente proporcional à probabilidade de vitória (ou seja, se apostar numa equipa que tenha uma Odd baixa, tem uma maior probabilidade de ganhar).
Veja alguns exemplos:
Quando alguém realiza uma aposta desportiva em futebol, existem apenas 3 resultados possíveis: vitória, empate ou derrota, e isto traduz-se da seguinte forma (tendo em conta clubes de futebol da 1ª liga):
- Sporting – 2,3€ (2,3€ é o valor da odd)
- Empate – 3€ (3€ é o valor da odd)
- Arouca – 4,5€ (4,5€ é o valor da odd).
Imagine que o valor da sua aposta são 15€, os resultados possíveis são:
- Se apostar no Sporting – 15€ x 2,3€ = 34,5€ (ganha 34,5€);
- Se apostar no empate – 15 x 3 = 45€ (ganha 45€)
- Se apostar no Arouca – 15 x 4,5 = 67,5€ (ganha 67,5€)
Como pode ver (e tal como mencionamos anteriormente) quando maior a probabilidade de ganhar, menor é o valor que é atribuído às Odds.
É importante salientar que se apostar no Sporting, mas ele perder ou empatar, vai perder os seus 15€, por isso é que é muito importante que ao colocar uma aposta numa determinada Odd, o seu valor não exceda os 10% do valor total que tem na sua conta da plataforma onde está a apostar. Principalmente se for iniciante, é preferível começar lentamente.
Sempre que possível, tente acompanhar os jogos em direto, pois desta forma consegue minimizar os riscos das apostas que faz (apostando ao vivo), dessa forma a sua leitura sobre o jogo, permitirá tirar ilações que antes do jogo, poderiam não ir de encontro com a sua análise.
Embora em Portugal o tipo de Odds mais comum seja a Odd Decimal/Europeia (em que os valores são inteiros e em euros), existem por todo o mundo diversos tipos, sendo as mais utilizadas as seguintes:
- Odd Fracionária ou Inglesa (é comum na bolsa de apostas britânica);
- Odd Americana (é comum na bolsa de apostas americana);
Classificação de Odds
Ao contrário do que muitos apostadores iniciantes acham, nem todas as Odds são boas para realizar apostas. Assim sendo, podemos dizer que existem algumas demasiado baixas (são aquelas em que o valor passível de ser ganho não compensa os riscos de realizar uma aposta) que devem ser evitadas.
Quando a Odd for demasiado baixa, é importante ponderar muito bem se valerá a pena a realização da aposta, uma vez que terá de apostar um valor muito alto para que consiga ter um lucro minimamente alto (além de que, se perder a aposta, as perdas têm tendência a ser muito superiores a todos os ganhos).
É claro que no início poderá ser uma boa opção até compreender todas as regras e modo de funcionamento das apostas, no entanto no futuro, evite-as.
Assim sendo, podemos classificar as Odds da seguinte forma:
- Entre 1,01 e 1,14 – Odds muito baixas
- Entre 1,15 e 1,49 – Odds baixas
- Entre 1,50 e 1,99 – Odds médias
- Superior a 2 – Odds altas
Não numa fase inicial, mas após se ter habituado à plataforma, o ideal é realizar apostas em Odds médias ou altas, uma vez que nestes casos o risco da aposta compensa os potenciais ganhos.
